We have sold more K-code/HiPo’s than anyone I know. I only say that to add emphasis to the fact that this one is easily one of the best preserved (i.e., substantially unrestored) K-code convertibles that I have seen. It’s very obvious that it was owned by PRESERVATION MINDED OWNERS. It can be enjoyed as is, or advanced as deemed necessary.

Almost certain to be 1 of 1 as built with a bench seat, 4-speed, 8-track stereo, Disc Brakes, dual exhaust, quick-ratio steering, performance suspension, etc. It was built, sold and lived in California for the first portion of its existence. It still has its California BLACK PLATE along with registration receipts documenting the plate as original to the car (this provenance is highly coveted by collectors). Additionally it has its factory DOOR TAG that has never been removed from the car along with its factory Vin Stamp on both the vehicle and the engine block. It is a correct NUMBERS MATCHING HiPo with all its HiPo parts less the fuel pump.

Everything works on this car. One repaint in its original Candy Apple Red color, otherwise substantially as it left the factory 58 years ago. Not only does it make instant HiPo power, it also has that unmistakable sound that only a SOLID LIFTER engine makes along with a killer exhaust note.

Easily one of the BEST factory bodies you could ever hope to find. The paint is super slick with a highly reflective gloss over laser straight metal. The interior is in very good condition. It appears to be mostly original with new carpet. The convertible power top works well and the top material may be original to the car. The undercarriage is what collectors dream of finding but rarely ever do – the FLOORS are exactly as they left the factory with no patches or metal work of any kind ever needed. Be sure to review the photos, you may never see another K-code convertible as honest as this one.
