FACTORY real deal 1966 Mustang “GT” built at the San Jose California plant and LOADED from the factory with the most sought after options.
It retains its original factory installed Door Trim Tag and inner fender Vin Stamp as well as a substantially STOCK appearance top to bottom. However, during a 2023 ‘total mechanical refresh’ it had some nice performance upgrades & enhancements installed to add to the performance fun factor. It was upgraded with a freshly rebuilt and slightly more powerful 302 with roller rockers. Additionally the transmission was switched out from an automatic to the period-correct 4-speed. The shifter was also updated to the superior Hurst shifter designed specifically for this application.
ALL of the work was done professionally with the goal of having a show quality ‘STOCK appearing’ finish. Mission accomplished, it has received multiple show awards and it’s pure magic to drive. The 302 pulls strong though the gear changes, loves to rev and the exhaust note is simply intoxicating. The beautiful color combination of Sauterne Gold mated to the color coordinated Pony Interior really turns heads. And for really picky people like me, the CHERRY ON TOP is the all original laser straight body including the original factory ‘primer drips’ on the floors.
