Outstanding PROVENANCE
This is a true 2 owner car with 42k DOCUMENTED original miles – that’s correct, this may be the lowest original miles ’66 GT fastback out there. This car was preserved in mint ORIGINAL condition for 52 years by its original ‘preservation minder owner’ before selling it to a personal friend of mine in 2018. Over the last six years the car received a couple significant awards including a National Senior Award based on its outstanding original condition. The car’s PROVENANCE is well documented including a magazine article that captured some of the highlights from its wonderful story. In the last six years the car has had major mechanical service and some detailing under the hood. In my almost 50 years of dealing with the most desirable examples of vintage Mustangs, this one is one of the best of the ‘preservation class’. The old saying ……”they can only be original once”….. has become more and more meaningful to the collectors and investors that are seeking the super rare ‘substantially ORIGINAL survivors’ and this is all the more true when they are the top models of the run like this LOADED GT fastback.

Excellent Condition
This is an AS BUILT car with its original door Trim Tag and vin stamping. It has mint original two-tone Blue Pony interior, still covered in clear plastic installed by the original selling dealer in 1966. Mostly original paint (Wimbledon White), all original metal including the floors, NEVER hit and NEVER rust rotted. Mechanically excellent and has benefited from a recent major service (details available). This is not a fresh MCA Gold restoration, rather it is a much harder to find outstanding preservation example that never needed a total restoration.
