1967 Mustang Fastback GT Red – 4spd

I am excited to have just got back in town with this very special fastback. While my preference is to “do the usual” BEFORE offering the car (i.e. make planned enhancements then do a full blown photo shoot, test drive video and do a detailed write up based on having logged substantial time behind the wheel) I recognize that the current market is so hot for this EXACT car that I might not make it to the finish line before someone insist on me pricing it.

Options – it is well equipped with GT package and comes with 4-speed, console, Fold down seat, Style Steel Wheels, Power Brakes, etc. The GT package included Special Suspension, Disc Brakes, Dual Exhaust with special Rear Body Panel and special Exhaust Tips, Fog Lights, Pop Open Gas Cap, Special Call Out insignia and Side Body Stripes.

Originality – This is a very original A-code 289 “GT” fastback wearing its factory color of Candy Apple Red. The car still has its original …. (a) Vin Stamp on inner fender, (b) original installed by Ford, Door Trim Tag, (c) and original Buck Tag. Steering box has been updated to a Flaming River box – good upgrade.

Documented – with the Marti Report …. It is “AS BUILT” by Ford.

Mechanical – Fresh engine rebuild, runs great, drives great stops as you would expect …. no known mechanical issues

Body – is excellent. Very straight, no notable rot out anywhere that I can see and appears to have super solid original floors and original rear QTR’s and appears to be a “no-hit” car (a body this nice is freakishly hard to find in 50 year old Mustangs)

Paint – Nice older paint job that still presents very well (I would call it a 10 footer, meaning that it appears to be show quality from 10 feet). This was a nice paint job when done but now has some age on it putting it in the outstanding “driver quality” category. Far too nice to repaint in this decade and can be enjoyed guilt fee as is.

Interior – presents well, no notable fatigue or wear (carpet on fold down area is a bit sun faded)

Tires – excellent, approximately one year old
