Many believe the 1970 is the C3 to have,
……. and I agree, all things being otherwise equal, the 1970 is the one. This is a super original example and in the hard to find color (Daytona Yellow) with the harder to find OPTIONS including working AIR CONDITIONING, Power Steering, Power Windows and Power Disc brakes Having owned many Corvettes of this vintage, I can tell you for a fact that these options MAKE A DIFFERENCE when you get behind the wheel. No workout here, and unlike a lot of them you won’t be looking for your garage after 30 minutes. This car is a joy to cruise in. Not only is it a FUN driver, it’s eyepopping beautiful car and has all the attributes of a good Vette investment.
Cosmetically it is a very nice driver quality car that will look great at local shows. The paint has some of the seemingly mandatory stress cracks so common in these older Vettes, but the paint is otherwise super slick and from 5 feet it looks show quality. Likewise , the interior presents very well with no evidence of significant wear other than the seams releasing on driver’s seat bottom.. The top is serviceable and goes up and down easily.
Over $10,000 in recent Service & freshly installed Parts
This is a get in and go car. Even the fiber optics work. Everything this car needed in support of an on demand, reliable, fun car has been done in the last two years. This includes, but is not limited to, $2,000 for the ‘radial version’ of the very cool looking, period correct FIRESTONE “Wide Ovals” (the radial version is vastly superior to the original bis ply)Another notable new item is complete factory correct Exhaust system. These two items among others recently done will help increase the NCRS judging points as they represent corrections to items previously counted off for. The former owner believes the car is now closer to the Top Flight level, if judged in the future. The great news is, it runs, drives, stops and starts like you would expect from a well maintained and freshly sorted Vette of this era.
